Today I went to their concert! The awesome thing was that the place was SO small that being near them was really easy. I actually spent the whole concert around 2 metres from them, standing comfortably next to the stage :) I was a little disappointed though.. it lasted only an hour and something, I think =/ buuuuut I forgive (?) them because when, after finishing the setlist, they heard us cheering for them to come back, they did and played another song =D one that they hadn't played in this whole tour.. and one of my faves *-* but that wasn't enough for us, obviously.. so we cheered again, and they came back again XDD, and played 2 more songs :D (i think they would have played more, but with the real final song the guy who had to close the curtains was looking at them like he was wishing he could just kick them out XD)

I tried to take pictures but my cellphone's camera isn't exactly the best D: I'll still upload a few though, so you can see how close I was :P

tomorrow i'm going to The Ataris' concert :D!!! and the ticket costed only $65 :D (i bought anticipated tickets to one of the (opening?) bands, and with those tickets they also gave a free cd by them :D :D :D! so i also got a free cd *-* hopefully i'll have time to listen to it this weekend.
and.. well, i think that's the only good thing that's going to happen so far.. o.o

Let's see, what made me happy today? While the geography teacher was asking questions to the students who hadn't passed the exam, and they answered, I actually knew what they were talking about! :D (nope, I haven't studied.. my memory got better, maybe? XD). I bought an alfajor 'pepitos' <3 (yes, today I had money!). P.E. wasn't so bad! I did hate part of it, but most of it could've been worse.. and I was able to buy a bon-o-bon block *-* (because I had money! YAY! :P). For some reason, after P.E. I always feel like eating chocolate/chocolate-ish things O_o What else? Oh! I used my new jacket :D I love it, it's so pretty and comfortable <3. Oooh and Brian updated his soapbox! *o* I know I've said this a houndred times, but I looove how he writes. And the review he made of that new album was so funny XDD (and now I want to buy it! Not just listen to it, but buy it! He can surely convince me of anything XD). Also, I just had chocolate milk :D (i have some everyday, but still, i just love it!)

Queen Convention:

It was quite awesome ^^, but it could've been better... The games were too hard I think (not impossible, but there was no need for them to have that difficulty), and you had to do them while they were showing inedit material, which is just stupid o_o also, the inedit material sucked XD they were demos, but they were just too similar to the final versions of the songs for them to be interesting... Oh and the lightning was terrible (I could barely read, how was I supposed to complete the games?).
I did love the weird merchandise that was sold, though *0* like cups XD, keyrings, the-coin-Brian-uses, and some more stuff^^ I didn't buy anything, but I know where I can get it *-*. The karaoke was also awesome! Some sang really well, and others were funny, and a few just stupid¬¬ like the blond guy I can't stand



That guy looked just like Freddie! O_O He sang well enough =P, but the cool thing was how he imitated Freddie XDDD
And... I can't remember anything else :D oh yeah, Bigot! It's a Queen tribute band... they were really good^^ And I loved the setlist *O*

Home (documentary)

Yesterday I went to watch on big screen; they showed it -for free- at a park. What an awesome movie/documentary. Everyone should watch it. It said a lot about the balance of nature, and how everything is related, and everything has a function- that's why if, for example, an animal dissapears, it's ecosystem will break down. After the first hour I was thinking of suicide (it's unbeliable what horrible things have happened, and still, so few give a damn about this!), but right then they showed good actions that have been taken =)

It's such a shame that many of those who saw it clearly didn't understand it, because a minute later they were arguing about translations and the right to have a translation in EACH language and variation of it.. (they said that if there was a translation for hispanoamerican Spanish, there had to be a translation in Spanish from Spain. WTF?)
Anyway, it's funny how I made a new friend :) as I was walking to the bus stop, I asked a girl which street we were on- just in case. From there, we started talking and we passed my bus stop, but it didn't matter because we walked to another bus stop 10 blocks away just talking =P She told me that she, along with some friends, sometimes get together and try to do something for the planet ^_^ Their blog is: proyectotedetilo.blogspot.com
She also told me that in Disco (a very popular supermarket) you can give your batteries, papers and cans and they recycle them =D! In Wal-Mart, you can leave aluminium, and PET and Tetra Brik containers.

Adam Lambert would be the perfect replacement for Freddie Mercury. He has the vocals, charisma and stage presence and knows how to please the viewers. I would love that if he brought back Queen. It would be unbelievable that show.

nevermind, i'll just ignore that new knowledge (though i'll admit it kind of raised my self-esteem. still, way too weird O_Ô)

I've been talking through MSN with a girl for some weeks. She seems nice, but.. she told me her favorite band was Queen, along with 30 Seconds to Mars. I was a surprised because she's 13 years old, but hey, I was an obssesed fan at 12!
Anyway, I was talking with her a few days ago and I told her something about The Millionaire Waltz, and she had never heard it before... Then, I was all OMGBRIAN, and she talked to me like I was crazy  D: okay, I am, but she said it like I was talking nonsense! And if you're a Queen fan, shouldn't you understand that at least a little bit? I mean, not just if you're a "Queen fan", but if you claim that Queen is your favorite band ever and blablabla... although you haven't even heard all the albums? Well, not just all the albums, but ADATR! That's not just any album! (Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy & Somebody to Love are there. It's like ANATO, where Bohemian Rhapsody & Love of my Life are featured).
I just did a how much do you know me? quiz she had made, and of course that the correct answer to what her fave bands were was Queen&30STM. But, what was the correct answer to who was her 'platonic love'? Brian May! So, when I'm all OMGBRIAN she reacts like she had no idea who I'm talking about, and then she says his her platonic love? WTF? D:
And all this surprises me so much because she IS all 'OMG' about other bands/musicians, so why isn't she like that with her favorite band & musician? O_o Or is this what 'fanatism' means nowadays? I don't think so. I'm not beliving it! D:
